Two more victories, and losses by two teams ranked higher, propelled Oregon to a ranking of No. 7 in both The Associated Press and USA Today/ESPN college basketball polls released Monday.
The Ducks had been ninth in AP balloting by the media and 10th in the USA Today voting by coaches a week ago.
In the AP voting, the Ducks were one of five Pac-10 teams ranked this week with UCLA at No. 3, Arizona at 17th, Washington State at 20th and USC at 25th. It is the first time this season the Trojans have been ranked nationally.
Oregon’s game at WSU on Saturday is one of only three games this week that matches top 25 teams.
