Iggy Pop and the Stooge's guitarist and de-facto second leader, Ron Asheton, passed away of an apparent heart attack at his home in Michigan this morning. It appeared he had been dead for several days before he was found. When I saw Iggy Pop and the Stooges live from the audience of Jimmy Kimmel in 2007, it was Asheton who seemed most on top of his game. I wonder if the Stooges will be able to continue without Asheton.
